News.com.au had today that this Valentines Day, more men are worried about being able to get an erection, rather than what type of flowers or chocolates.

Impotence Australia has been quoted in saying that they expect a 20% rice in calls to their support lines!

“Some people feel that their difficulties with sexual performance are stopping them from getting into a relationship and for others it highlights what’s missing from their relationship,”

Sure, I understand that Valentines Day can put pressure on guys (and gals!), but I’m actually looking forward to it. While I don’t suffer from any of these problems, I think it would be very awkward if one did!

The spike in calls to Impotence Australia is being compared to the same as at Christmas time.

While spokespeople for Viagra wouldn’t comment, Australian Government said that demand for the drug was highest in January.

Well he had (I think) 5 smirnoffs, myself about 2 more.

This thought came from when I was getting dressed and couldn’t decide which pair of underwear to put on.

Drama! I know!

The main problem is that I have a wide variety of undies, and I usually only pick my favourites to wear. I have a few different brands (primary Calvin Klein, Aussie Bum & Bonds). But which pair should I wear today?

Well I ended up choosing some grey CK’s. I’ve been wearing bonds over the last few days, so thought of a change.

I have to say, they CK’s are ok to wear; they aren’t uncomfortably or anything like that. But to be honest, the Bonds shit on all my pairs of undies.

I don’t own a pair of undies that is more comfortable than my bonds. They fit better, and I personally think they look better, especially the latest range of bonds that I’ve gotten.

In saying that, I’m always prepared to try some different brands and styles.

What is the most comfortable brand & style of mens underwear you own?

As a lot of people know, Nathan broke up with me a little more than week ago, and when he did a flood of people approached me with the usual ‘aw are you ok?’ response. When I replied to each of them that I was fine and it wasn’ t a bad break up, people seemed to be fluffed with what I said.

In response, I got an array of different things from ‘well thats good’ to ‘no, its ok, i know your pissed. you can let it out’.

It seemed that people were shocked that I wasn’t hating or bitching towards Nathan. In fact, I had more than a couple of people start bitching about their ex, and then ask me if Nathan did anything wrong.

This in itself didn’t concern me much, but something Nathan said on Tuesday night when I saw him again did. He had spoken to one of my friends prior to breaking up with me, which I knew. It seemed that my friend had told him though, that I don’t get emotionaly attached.

That made me stutter for a little bit. I don’t get emotionally attached? It’s something weird to blog about, and to talk about even with my friends. I don’t show my feelings very well, and I know that. But not become emotionally attached? I don’t think so. I cry at a lot of neighbours episodes, let alone boyfriend breakups.

Nathan said that it shocked me. When he broke up with me, we hugged and I cried, and he felt bad. He (and I) know that he’s done the right thing, but I cried alot. I certainly did have attachments to Nathan! I doubt anyone can be in a relationship for over 2 months and not.

But it got me thinking. Do people see me as a negative person? I got speaking with Nathan on this topic, because he has said that I should quit being so nice- on a number of occasions. He also mentioed that he was waiting to hear on the grapevine that I had been bitching about him- because he had been told that that was what I was like (after breaking up with me).

Well, I think to start that it is a good sign, that he confessed he was suprised to see that I hadn’t said a single negative thing about him or our relationship; and that it was a good thing.

But I still am a little concerned at peoples views on me.

I’m not always 100% Mister Nice, and I can definately be abitch when the time calls for it. But I think that, on average, I’m pretty nice. Maybe even more towards the ‘nice’ end of the scale compared to alot of people I know.

Am I a nice person?

Webpages were these blurry things, and chat rooms were quickly becoming the best thing since sliced bread. My msn was full of people I knew from school, and slowly began filling up with people I talked to often from chatrooms. Soon my list had more contacts than the public library had books.

Only recently have a trimmed that down, now to having just under a dozen contacts. But, in saying that, I still speak to a lot of people.

I have over 1100 contacts on facebook, plus my small hanful on msn. I have contacts on myspace, Bebo, Twitter, Britekite, Flickr, Google, and many many forums that I’m part of.

While my use of msn messenger has decreased heaps!- my use of webpage based chat services & email has gone up more than I would have ever thought.

Not a day goes bye that I don’t talk to someone using Facebook chat, or I get an email (either to one of my 6 email addresses, or via myspace/facebook ‘message’).

Compared to what life used to be like, especially now with the introduction of Broadband years ago, things have really changed.

I now even have this blog, which since its beginning has had literally thousands of visitors. Yet another way I can communicate with people.

The other part of my life, when dealing with communication, that has changed would be my use of a mobile phone.

I got my mobile when I was in year 6 at school. Yes, it was a brick. A green brick that used to show 3 lines of text. I lvoed that phone. It was given to me by a friend of the family for my birthday, as my own parents wouldn’t buy me one.

I used to buy my own credit from working on the block (picking grapes/apples/peaches/apricots/oranges + pruning vineyards + cutting apricots/peaches, etc etc)

As soon as I turned 18 I got my self a contract, and I can say I haven’t regretted it since.

I know that a lot of people are anti-plans, but I really don’t mind. I’m careful enough to plan out my budget to include payments, and it has helped me upgrade my handset when I wanted to, to what I wanted to.

I used to go through about $30 every 2-3 weeks on calls & messages. That wasn’t too bad. Keepin mind that I don’t usually call people, but message.

I know go through more than $500 per month (thank god I’m on a cap) in just messaging. Literally, thousands of messages every month, plus internet, etc.

So no wonder lots of people get sick of me messaging them

I just thought I’d do this post, because it really amazed me, thinking back today about how things were about 10 years ago, even less.

In another 10 years, how far will we have progreesed, especially heading into the forcasted recession.

Sure, cures for cancer & other such things will be the next miracles, but what technological advancements will they make?

The Australian Government has decided that to stop the Country going into a bigger recession that forcasted, they are going to give people nearly $1000 dollars. Quite literally, the government is simply going to send me $950.

The idea behind it, is that if we can get people to start spending money, it’s going to give a kickstart to the economy again. While I’m no economist, nor do I follow politics or money matters; this is what I understand of the situation.

People who work and earn under $80,000 per year (which includes me) will be getting the full $950 once-off lump-sum payment. Once you go over the $80k, the amount you get will decrease. The payment will only be given to people who are low- or middle- income earners or are families on the Family Benefit.

Unfortunately, recent polls conducted by various places indicate that it WILL NOT work, as people are simply to scared to spend money.

52% of people said that they will simply pay off debt
23% of people said they will not spend the money

This leaves only 25% of people who will spend part or all of the bail out package. This is forcasted that it will not help the economy enough.

Some of the people opposing the reasons behind the package have been saying simliair

“If you are lucky enough to recieve some of this package spend it wisely, and save as much as you can. The world is in the problem it is because everybody has been living a life they cannot afford, thinking that house prices will always go up and plasma tv’s are an essential item.

“There is no doubt that the government wants you to spend this money consuming, this is why it is called an ‘economic stimulus package’ rather than calling it a ‘family support package’, if they really cared about the Australian people, they would be telling all the recipients of this money to use it where they have to (food, education, housing), pay off credit card debt, and those who can, save, save, save. “

So it is really a toss up: Should we spend the money and try and bring Australia into a better standing through the recession; or is that a wasted hope and we should save the money for when we’re hit worst by the recession?

It is expected that Australia’s economy is going to grow less thanfirst predicted over the next few years. This has thrown the Aust. government into a deficit, and they are expected to stay that way for a fair few years to come.

In all of this, I somewhat feel sorry for Rudd. I just hope that people don’t go “recession…Rudd… vote him out”

When the last pakcage was distributed, police in many areas [especially rural NT] found that crime rates went higher, and they picked up more drunk people, and arrested more men for battery of family members…

Meaning is what we apply to things once we review them, and then add them up in our mind & apply our beliefs to them. Once this happens, we have meaning.

By this definition, we can summise that for something to have meaning, it must have happened. Now, I don’t mean to sound all philosophical (in a philosphical post- what? huh?), but I meant it literally.

Can we apply meaning to something that has not yet happened? I summise that we can’t.

If I say to you “I will kill this animal”, you will probably not like me very much. Not because I’m going to kill the animal, but because I said, I inferred that I will kill the animal.
